Pros
I was on a contract that worked with the DOJ. The work at the DOJ was great - easy - not really enough work for me to stay busy - but not a hassle either which was nice during Covid. I worked from home and was happy with it.
Cons
Vacation time. I did not get any PAID vacation until after my first full year there. Now, four months into this year, I am leaving and none of the time I have accrued this quarter will be paid to me as vacation time as I did not stay until the end of the year. Also, there was no review process, no guidance on how to get a salary increase or how to find a better position or advance within the company. Make sure you understand all of the benefits before accepting any position with this company.
