Pros
Good learning opportunity to develop, you just have to know when to leave
Cons
- low and inequitable salaries, you might have a coworker at the same level wining more than even someone more senior, they rather invest in new hires that to keep the older higher perfomers happy - Make no mistake you will be overworked, it's a must in the company specially in finance - They don't care for the financial team, they wont invest in it or give budget until everyone practicly leaves the company - At first it had a unlimited PTO policy but no one ever toke time off, you were expected to work even on your days off or in your local holiday's, they changed it eventually to 20 days a year but highly limited, with this change it doesn't matter if you quit or get fire the days you didn't used were not paid off. - no realistic expectations or directions - no real benefits besides remote work - Bad managers at the highest levels, most are there for being the longest at the company and buddies with the founders, VPs or other managers. - Layoffs every other day, you had no real stability, they had approved new hires one month and literally at the other they announced a "down sizing of 30%" - No support from the higher ups nor from HR/people, no one moved a finger when the company was at their peak of toxicity
