Pros
Omni has a pretty office with a cafe that has fresh food made daily. HR hosts regular events to keep employees engaged and participating in fun activities.
Cons
Omni Corporate primarily consists of two groups: One is a clique of long-time employees who are burnt out and resistant to change. A lot of them are unwelcoming information hoarders and usually don't include new talent in office social groups or gatherings. The other group is new talent that is frequently brought in and cycled out within 0.5-2 years. The growth opportunities and level of respect you receive at the corporate office is minimal if you do not have direct hotel experience. Training and preparation for the job is also minimal, so be aware of that. When I left Omni to begin my new job, it was very clear to me that I was in a toxic work environment. Not only that, my manager kept my computer to snoop on my teams messages and files after my departure. Something that they did not do with another employee who left before me. It may have been because I complained about this manager to HR about their behavior. The managers and leaders at my new job are so much more approachable, helpful, respectful of my knowledge and intellect. I'm glad I made the decision to separate.
