Pros
If you love helping others, working in hospitality can be beneficial to honing customer service skills. I think this particular location is better for high school or college grads looking for a start in business america. You yave the opportunity to meet many different people from some really cool places; guests and coworkers alike.
Cons
Unfortunately it is the same old corporate adage... Office politics, hiring and promoting friends/family over knowlegdeable/skilled and talented employees. If you're outspoken, give feedback that doesn't want to be heard, expect to have negative narratives created about you and your character, then be overlooked for rightfully earned promotions/raises if not terminated for some obscure reason. Poor performance and bad behavior are rewarded and overlooked, while hard working employees are left disenchanted and unmotivated until they quit. They can get pretty disrespectful with staff. Promotions are only from "within" if you're in the "liked/approved" circle. This is a continuous cycle with each new set of managers hired because the same type of narcisistic people are brought in. Sounds crazy, but can assure you it is a very honest assessment from personal experience.
