Pros

The guests and employees

Cons

Always short staffed. Not Just a little but at 25% of what the staffing should be in my department. Work 70+ hours a week most of the time so I actually make less than minimum wage because I am salary. No training for advancement. Its like I have 2 jobs one is my job and my other job is going to countless meetings or having discussions about how to improve things but then there is not follow through. HR sends out score cards for each department and that is great but they send it out for 2 months and then not for another 6 months or so. You go the whole year not knowing how you measure up to there standards. I have so much vacation time but can not use it and when I did take one week off my boss STILL called me almost everyday. I actually had to come in to work when my mom who I had not seen in 3 years (because I can not get time off) was visiting. Our Director of rooms quit and on his last day told me to run.......I feel super optimistic now! I would apply for other jobs but when I get home from working a 15 hour shift and have to be back at 5am the next day I am just to tired. I feel so bad for my staff who I can not give all of the training or support to because I am just a fill in employee on the floor now. My staff will say we feel so bad for you working as much as you do. You are a manager and your staff actually feels bad for you how pathetic. I have been trying to grow my garden and promote from with in. My employee had to wait over a week to interview with the GM. Every time she had an appointment she would go and wait in front of his office for 30-45 min and then HR would call call and say "oh he is taking a long lunch lets reschedule". Inconsiderate on so many levels. You tell your managers that you are there to support them and there associates and then they are left to fend for them self's. I love my customers and what I do but the Omni does not. They say they care and even hold POE classes on how to care ( I have taught several of these myself) and then let you work yourself to death.

Pros

The culture and hospitality I have experienced so far has been nothing short of exceptional. From the Interviewing to my first day and beyond, everyone has been very helpful and inviting. I am excited to be apart of the OMNI family.

Cons

No cons specifically but once in my department I was hoping for a bit more structure and information as to specific duties, trainings and expectations but other than that I have had a great experience and since have more information.
