Pros

OBMC fosters a good work community and it's fulfilling to work with students.

Cons

-Power tripping line managers -Too much workload that is not even part of the job description. This is the only school I know where the admins have shifts in monitoring students where it hampers the actual job that needs to be done in the office. It should be the teachers who does this. -Strict guidelines in physical appearance. Apparently self expression is not Montessorian as you need to have impeccable make-up (mandatory red lipstick) and black, slicked back hair. If you somehow deviate from this rigid standard, you are either told off or even worse- shamed by these hags (line managers). -No overtime pay. I get that the salary is fairly good, but it is simply not enough for the amount of work that you do. There is an unspoken rule in our department that we must render at least an hour of overtime but it is never compensated. On top of that, we work Saturdays once every month - or if it's required by the supervisor. You absolutely have no say in this-- their word is law. -No career growth. I have seen my seniors toil unpaid overtime hours and being great at their jobs but is still in the Administrative Assistant position after more than a decade. I looked at them and I told myself I do not want to end up like that, so I left. -Traditional and not open to the current trends and changes -- maybe because the line managers are old as hell. But hey, you can also be old and accepting. The thing is, they live in their own bubble of superiority that any suggestion that does not favor the management, they are suddenly illiterate and deaf. Lastly, don't go here if you don't want to be exploited. Pay is nice but it is in exchange of your soul. xoxo, Gossip Girl

Pros

They offer competetive salary and benefits. The school are clean, organized and orderly. They provide good training even though the teacher is not an education graduate.

Cons

They have very strict guidelines during training. Sometimes the line managers have irreasonable work demands. They decide on matters without due process and most teachers are afraid to speak up because they fear they will lose their jobs.
