Pros

The co-workers we started off working with were an amazing group of people! We had an awesome bond and minimal drama, I still hang out with them! I also loved how after a busy day you would look at the tickets and think, "i finished all of those?!" Bosses were generous with gift cards with those who had worked hard during the year and would gift them to us for Christmas, super sweet! Bosses were very understanding of school schedules and would work around them. Lots of opportunities for advancement if you show you are interested and work hard.

Cons

The biggest con I have with this job is that there are no benefits offered, even for full time employees. Bosses would be in bad moods sometimes and take it out on us. Went through numerous amounts of employees so it was hard to make a bond with your co-workers, this is a team job after all. During the holidays, don't expect to have a life outside of work, all I did was work during the holidays.

Pros

It was okay in the beginning

Cons

Basically I got fired from Nothing Bundt Cakes, but the way they handled it is what really upset me. The day before, they were acting normal and even told me “see you tomorrow.” Then I came in for my shift the next day ready to work and they told me not to clock in and to call the manager. She fired me over the phone and kept repeating over and over that I “wasn’t the right fit” and that I “didn’t fit in,” but wouldn’t actually explain what that meant when I asked for a reason. Then she told me they had already decided the day before that Tuesday was going to be my last day, but nobody communicated that to me. So I basically showed up to work not even knowing I was already fired. Even when I returned my stuff and got my check, she still wouldn’t really say anything or give me a clear explanation. It just felt really unprofessional, confusing, and honestly hurtful.
