Depending on position, these can be stable, long-term jobs. A college campus is a nice forward-looking institution.

Cons

Lots of "silos." Departments and units have their own agendas and don't always work together well. Pay scales can drop off very fast from the top.

-Pay is always too low -Months to hire -Favoritism -As staff/support service you are dirt and will be the first to suffer cuts
