Pros
1. A good brand that established itself in the e-learning domain but has been losing it's hold continuously for the last 5 years. 2. Excessive work pressure and system driven, you learn how to work within controls and challenges. Makes you tough. 3. Best place to stay if you are good at manipulating things. You just need to be good at communicating and coming up with reasons for not doing a job and pointing out a person on which you can shift the blame.
Cons
1. A pathetic work culture. No work-life balance. No reward or recognition for smart work and excessive dedication. Your performance is judged by the number of hours you stay in office. 2. There are several senior people in the organization who have been with NIIT for more than a decade (may be two decades). Most of these don't want new people to grow in the organization. Facts are manipulated and reports presented to the top management without any discussions at ground level. 3. HR has minimum involvement or personal support to the employees. The HR function has no dignity and is thoroughly governed by whims and fancies of the senior management. 4. For general employees, the annual salary raises are less than the inflation rate of the country. [Do note this doesn't apply to the senior employees and the management, seems like they eat away all the budget]. So, if you decide to join, negotiate the best at the time of joining.
