The workload is really inconsistent. One week you could be sitting around with nothing to do, and the next week you are working 12+ hr days and barely keeping your head above water. Most are underpaid based on the market standard, and they try to guilt-trip you out of asking for more money by saying "You are paid more than most." They tell this to everyone, and it isn't true. HR is a mess.
