Pros
Staff discount and some ok incentives. Progression can be relatively quick depending on how far you're willing to push yourself.
Cons
Very little training. There is a childish cliquey culture, particularly among some management. Nobody seems to want to take responsibility for their errors, typically using the stockroom team as scape goats. Some managers can be quite spiteful and I have seen a number of staff leave due to this behaviour from above. Morale is typically low, as is the pay especially once you progress to a management level.
