Pros
Ever shrinking Pros... Difficult to name anything positive! Has the potential to become great again, as long as they can somehow turn around the morale decline and get people excited about the company''s potential. NEC has "second to none" products in Japan, and most other global regions. Why can't it do well here?
Cons
NEC Australia has eroded so far that it will take a mammoth effort to regain any sort of corporate health. (Most) Senior management are so scared to offer true NEC products and services that could be engineered to suit the Australian market.that they ditched most of it to become a "reseller of other companies wares" They even bought another ICT company because they had no confidence in the talent they had in their own backyard, Most people that are left have the attitude "Why bother" and only reveal 20% of their true potential. - Why waste effort when you'll be made redundant anyway is the slogan of late. The "New Breed" of middle management probably have no idea of what NEC did well. While it is true that the market has shifted and a change was inevitable, the change was completely mismanaged. Most projects are so under resourced that the ones remaining after the regular "Redundancies" are worked to the point of exhaustion,
