Pros

The Seattle office takes up the entire 26th floor of the Columbia Tower, so the sweeping views of Elliot Bay, Mt. Rainier and rest of the city are hard to beat. The compensation and benefits are also pretty good on the whole. The technology team has made strides in the past couple of years to move toward using more up-to-date applications and software from the back to the front end, and there are definitely opportunities for motivated folks to be influencers on that front.

Cons

Overall, there is poor communication from management regarding decision-making processes. The decisions made seem more focused on technology and the notion of creating efficiencies than on the product and users. On the whole, NBC is not a digital company in the truest sense of the word, but a broadcast entity trying to align digital to their television interests.

Pros

Great "VIP" pass for your family and friends at the theme parks

Cons

Unless you work in new venture, the business is pretty dull (a bit like a utility company). Very risk averse company. Very slow and "matrixed" decision process. A lot of "lifers" in middle management ranks that resist change.
