      My time at Motorola Solutions was genuinely positive—everyone was kind, and I felt supported even after my departure. While I was laid off without a clear explanation, I couldn’t help but notice that others who joined after me remained employed. It’s difficult not to wonder if favoritism played a role in that decision.

      Cons

      The layoff felt unexpected and a bit underhanded—especially since I wasn’t offered a transfer to another team. What surprised me even more was the silence afterward. Not a single colleague reached out to check on me, not even my manager. It’s a tough reminder: work friendships don’t always extend beyond the office. You live, you learn, and you keep moving forward.

      Pros

      I highly value the autonomy I am given to manage my own workload, and I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with several of my talented colleagues.

      Cons

      That independence comes at a cost. The company is incredibly disorganized and siloed. Management will force lateral moves on you without asking; I've ended up balancing four different roles with absolutely no pay increase. Requests for fair compensation compared to the peers I trained were completely ignored. Territories change constantly, but zero training is provided. You are essentially left entirely on your own to figure it out.
