Pros

Coworkers understand your suffering

Cons

Regional managers do not care about the workers at all, they only care about themselves and whether they can get promoted to higher levels within the company. I was a sales associate for a year but I performed keyholder duties, such as opening the store, closing the store, literally everything a manager would do. It was heavily implied that I'd get a promotion and a pay raise but the regional manager didn't go through with it because I voiced my concerns regarding how our new "manager" was treating the other staff member, in which this staff member was waiting for his promotion as well. All the paperwork was submitted on the staff's end, but somehow just in the nick of time, this new "manager" who was introduced by the regional manager filled the spot my coworker was waiting for. The new manager became increasingly hostile, finding many opportunities to point out staff members' flaws in attempts to make it seem as if the staff were incompetent, however things only began to fall apart when this new manager stepped into the position. If you value yourself as a person, I'd recommend you find an ethical company that treats their workers right, rather than a company like Miniso who decides to turn their cheeks away when conflicts arise.

Pros

It's fun to see what inventory we'll get, and it's fun product to sell. Coworkers are great to be around.

Cons

Upper management is horrible. 3 months into the store manager being fired, with no new SM in sight. When higher-ups come in to help, they are hard to communicate with, often giving off a harsh attitude. They will say everything that is wrong with the store with no positives. We were told to fill a particular IP because it was light when we had no inventory to fill it with, which they must have missed during their visit. The store was once sent so much shipment that we had to fill our bathroom with bags of inventory. The electricity went out once because the bill wasn't paid. Very little training is provided. Management would rather work a skeleton crew into the ground than care about employee turnover.
