Pros

Has a UAW Union and the new leadership works with them. Base Pay is 37K for Non-Tech production positions, 46K for Technical positions, and 54k for Skilled Trades (Maintenance). Paid time off is 3 wks after a year, 4 after 5Y, and 5wks after 10 years. Insurance for family: Premiums are $147/month $500 deductible & $1,750 Max out of pocket per year. Great overall benefit package thanks to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Cons

Unfortunately the make production workers go through a temp service to get hired Full time. The CBA only allows for 15%, but there's no set time to hire those folks after they come in. Lean head count forces a lot of weekday overtime. Both cases seems to be long term non cost effective. It also frustrates the Full-time people as well.

Pros

You definitely can advance here as a welder, technician or whatever.

Cons

We sat in orientation about safety for six plus hours. Once I started working there, I started it feel like nobody was following basic safety protocols, and not only that, but I was also pressured not to. The station I was put on constantly had issues where my partner and I would have to step on the conveyor belt while it was still active to fix stuff, and that STILL wasn't fast enough for the plant coordinator. Just completely shameful.
