Pros

Being non-profit feels good. It allows us to put revenue back into making things better for residents and staff.

Cons

We are not perfect, but we try.

Pros

Friendly environment, welcoming environment with great perks. The residents are wonderful and the team members are kind and thoughtful. A group of experienced professionals all working together to serve residents

Cons

None that I can think of at the time- no place is perfect, but there is no outstanding flaw or drawback to working here that I can think of

Pros

1. I like most of the clients I work with. 2. You can use your ID to pay for meals.

Cons

1. Lifeways is opening a second location when we just sold an area and can barely afford to fix the Mechanicsburg location. 2. Horrible communication from department to department. Staff doesn't know what's going on with clients and doesn't seem like nurses or aids make notes about important things like when a person FALLS! They don't know what's going on. 3. At Home Department charges families a lot per hour when caregivers don't even $35 an hour; we barely make $15! 4. At Home Department is run by two ladies (collecting all the money) when they need a team of six people or more to keep up with the work they must complete. Sometimes, there is just radio silence from the office since they have too much to do, and then communication breaks down, and everything falls apart.
