Any person who is not taken into the "fold" does not stand a chance ever retiring from Merck. You cannot voice new opinions without the ideas falling on deaf ears or someone else taken credit for it. You are not encouraged to think outside of the box or to even go ask for help from anyone other than HR. And then HR cannot do anything unless approved by management. So that is a no win situation.
