Pros

Friendly company culture Reasonable hours Part of the Marsh McLennan wider business Great benefits and pension contributions (12.5% employer contributions) Great opportunities to get involved in Business Resource Groups Great networking opportunities

Cons

Mercer Marsh Benefits graduate scheme start pay is 29k. Despite finishing the graduate scheme and three years into full time employment, former graduate employees only just on £33k now. Very slow career progression Inflationary pay rise +£250 per annum. Going in at an graduate level / entry level role, felt very trapped, restricted, not challenged or valued Mercer promotes pay transparency however there is ironically no pay transparency internally within the company

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
