Pros

They paid for your licensing and training was 6 weeks or longer. So you were ready for your job by the time you got to it.

Cons

They changed everyone's hours and gave some of us a pay cut of 10% or more with less than 2 weeks notice. They changed the job responsibility after a few months, so we went from helping people choose an option to strictly fielding complaints because Mercer was not paying people out on time for reimbursements.

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
