Pros

Actuarial study and compensation program is average

Cons

if you're an actuarial analyst, be prepared to be assigned to an overwhelming amount of clients where your skills are never used (Apparently, other Mercer locations actually have actuaries do actuarial work and their employees are happy).

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
