Pros

Great people: professional and smart yet fun, collaborative. it's OK to be yourself Good diversity Great IC Interesting projects Good work life balance

Cons

Build rather than buy talent management : constantly hiring outside company (rather than promoting) and overpaying for average talent. Especially problematic at senior levels...overpaid principals selling nothing... It is easier to leave and come back a couple of years to get to right (deserved) level of pay and role Low pay average benefits (except in US it seems) Constant staff turnover: expect a salary and recuitment freeze around April every year and redundancies in October and May.... Very conservative (risk averse, thank you Marsh, no innovation) and especially a problem for technology It's 2013 not 2007...are we tryning to sell technology to clients? time to get some modern technology in-house then Has a global mobility practice but sucks at relocating people. Lost many junior members of my team because to move them to a different market it took 2 years to get shitty offer (so they went to PWC who transfered them in 6 months). Shame because there are some great career opportunities that are untapped

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
