Pros

Pay is not bad at all, not much above the Dutch minimum wage, but grows along with work experience. The right twist of shift allowances, though shaken and not at all stirred (not the improvement your work/balance needs!), can get you a pretty decent salary. Decent training activity; it's a company that provides you with a very profitable work experience.

Cons

Company culture gets a little morbid, sometimes. Scarce employee benefits, company is too busy spending money in publicity stunts. The overall employee situation is overall split into a general sense of satisfaction - that even looks like gratitude - in the back office area, and a severely stressful, detached and narrowed career in the operational staff working in the customer service area. My department was a affected by a small, constant power abuse pageant coming from the middle management. Work/life balance was made almost impossible by a very rigid schedule mixed up with abysmal chances of planning your vacations during peak seasons. Occasionally, massive workload was being pushed onto a staff that was growing shorter and shorter.

Pros

Supportive local management, reasonable work/life balance.

Cons

No consideration for country-specific work procedures, cultures, etc. from headquarters in Germany. Excess headcount problems in Germany are being resolved by workforce reduction in the US and other global locations.
