Pros
free product...until you realise it won't pay your bills How excited people get when you tell them you work at Mecca And pretty much nothing else
Cons
HQ tolerates the most unprofessional behaviour - aggresion, exclusion, intimidation, rudeness, sarcasm, condescending remarks, petty politics. The business talks about women empowering women but it's more like women tearing women down. Don't bother reporting it to your Manager or HR because you'll just be given "prevention tactics" You join and your career goes nowhere because succession planning doesn't exist and your manager has never been given the training to develop you properly. There is no autonomy and too much micro-management The dream role you sign on for ends up being junior, menial work. Once the significant pay cut you took to join the bright lights of Mecca hits, along with the 10+ hour days, impossible expectations and the realisation that you made a big career mistake and should have taken the other job offer, well it's clearly too late. You quickly discover that the level of skill and expertise at management level is not on par with industry and significantly lacking. This then has a detrimental flow on effect on direct reports Just the overall disappointment in how the business treats its people
