Pros

Great pay especially for the area 401K match Paid extended training through CVTC Possible hiring bonus

Cons

HR will do whatever they can to deny bonuses, or to keep you from becoming fully vested in your 401K. Keep your paperwork on bonuses. Everyone from sorters to front management operates on the "take all the credit, deflect all the blame" mentality. There's a reason the company is constantly hiring for all positions. They've been through at least four maintenance/engineering managers in the past five years due to the company not dividing the job in two positions like other McCain plants simply to save money, Great place to develop a bad case of anxiety, Most machinery is old and in sore need of replacement. Equipment that isn't in need of replacement is in need of being re-engineered by a place other than the machine shop they currently use. A place with real engineers. The safety team cares more about proving you're breaking the rules than actually getting you out of a unsafe situation. (Grabbing a camera from the office to get proof rather than remove you from the situation and then worry about discipline). You are a number not a human being here.
