Some time ago I decided to leave my job (at a fantastic company) to join Maersk UK, mainly driven by the offered overall package which seemed very appealing. Before joining, I checked Maersk Maidenhead's Glassdoor score but I decided to ignore all the bad reviews. That proved to be a stupid mistake (which I won't do again in the future). Well, from the moment I joined, there have been constant layoffs and an overall everlasting sense of insecurity. Every decision and every policy was covered by a smoke of secrecy. No transparency at any point whatsoever. There was the feeling that the company was AGAINST its own employees. Some time ago, the Senior Management decided to 'realign' our roles to increase productivity. After numerous questions around potential redundancies, we were repeatedly told that no layoffs will take place in the near future. You can guess what actually happened. Right before Christmas '25 they decided to lay off 100s of people. Had the company been honest and clear I would not be that upset about the whole situation; things like this happen. However, the overall attitude of Senior Management is the worst I have ever seen during my career. Please avoid like the p
