Pros
The people I worked with were genuine and wanted me to learn and grow while working at MAA. You can rotate weekends with other leasing staff and you get most holidays paid. You can easily promote from within if you are interested in management and this is an extremely female friendly business.
Cons
You have many different personalities living in your apartment complex and some will be disatisfied no matter what you do to help them. In many customer facing roles unhappy customers simply shop elsewhere but when someone is in a lease you have to continually deal with them and the broken record of their issues. You work alone on weekends so if residents come in needing help and prospects come in wanting tours you have to find a way to help everyone in a reasonable timeframe, which can be difficult at times.
