Pros

Pretty office, has cafeteria, casual dress

Cons

Unprofessional workplace. Can't realistically compete with Amazon, although 1/2 staff think the top competitor is Home Depot. Lowe's has a gossipy and chummy environment - it really matters who you befriend. Management tries to stress that staff is friends, have a happy hour, "hang out together after work" "you guys should go drinking" "go have a happy hour together and hang out." It feels like they are trying to engineer a Google-like culture by attempting to force culture. With I-77 construction and traffic, Lowe's is a 45-minute drive from Charlotte. If you take the work-from-home perk offered to staff then you are shamed by your peers and immediate managers for taking them.

Pros

Remote, great starting pay for entry level remote. Team environment was the best part of the experience.

Cons

Very limited to no advancement opportunities with pay increases that don't even match cost of living increases. No HR support and the culture reflects that... not a company that has any flexibility in the way employees are handled when they make a mistake it stacks and is not removes for a year. If you have three mistakes even if they are in totally different areas they will terminate even tenured employees with otherwise perfect records. Not a way to keep good employees.
