Pros

Candy samples, peers are fun to work with, you get to wear a lot of hats, no micro managing

Cons

Very little structural support, management changes their mind often, low pay, no 401k or HSA contribution, very little direction from executives, rare to hit bonus if ever, management over-promises and under-delivers.

Pros

An environment where it's easy to interact with guests and make them happy. Learning about candy varieties around the world.

Cons

Compensation is low for the level of responsibility expected, and stores are frequently understaffed, leaving employees alone for long periods without proper support or break periods. District-level leadership often supports store management that is disengaged from day-to-day operations. Managers frequently remain in the back while frontline staff handle the bulk of the workload, which contributes to burnout and poor morale. Inventory practices are also a problem. The pallet system makes proper rotation difficult and has led to frequent expired products, creating unnecessary waste and additional stress for employees expected to manage the consequences.
