Pros

Some beautiful products, I work with lovely staff within my store; a great team atmosphere however this is due to individuals not related to company. A respected and highly regarded brand by outsiders. I'm struggling to think of anything else.

Cons

Incredibly high turnover of staff, shockingly low salary, and huge blame culture from head office with shop staff being constantly targeted as bottom of the hierarchy, permanently understaffed at that, very target driven creating a stressful and aggressive atmosphere. Brand is sadly not staying true to Laura's vision and has lost its way with impersonal and bland designs and a lack of regard for its employees; merely caring about its precious figures. This will be its downfall; you can only rely for so long on your former image and heritage. Never received any praise for hard work. Management expected to work over contracted hours without being paid to do so. Actually questioned as to why I wasn't doing unpaid overtime! Threaten to formally investigate you if you do not meet their unrealistic MasterCard targets. Swap payroll to 4 weekly system without prior warning and put you on incorrect tax code you are then told to correct yourself in your own time. This means you are paid random days each month making bills and direct debits a nightmare to keep up with. A demoralizing work place rated one of the top ten worst companies to work for in the UK.
