Pros

- Talented people (yet most of them have already left). - Free Snack & Fruit

Cons

- Avoid if you don't know Mandarin, meetings will suddenly go full Mandarin and you will have no idea what's going on. - Limited work from home policy (12 days a year), remote (or even hybrid) seems the evilest thing to the management, CEO has made it clear that "if you want WFH, feel free to leave", yet they expect everybody to bring home the laptop and work whenever they need you, double standard at its finest. - Pathetic salary increment on promotion (<5%), yet the headcount for promotion is limited due to "budget". - Chaotic restructure, layoff 2 times this year (they called it restructuring based on performance), lack of planning on the restructuring, your output is lowered due to the chaos, yet they expect more output after the restructure. - No personal growth, it's something the company doesn't care

Cons

If you're considering a role within the Data Analytics team at Lalamove, my advice would be to seriously reconsider. Senior management lacks a technical background and has no understanding of the core aspects of data analytics, including coding and technical processes. This lack of technical expertise leads to poor decision-making and a general mismanagement of the team. Moreover, management style is abrasive and unprofessional—People have tendency to publicly humiliate employees without cause, fostering a toxic work environment. His temper and inconsistency in leadership create a high-stress atmosphere that discourages collaboration and personal growth. Overall, the combination of poor technical understanding and toxic leadership makes this team an unhealthy place to work. I would strongly advise against accepting an offer to join this department.
