Pros

1. Competitive pay increments offered to attract new employees. 2. Generally relaxed workplace environment (though this may vary over time). 3. Friday afternoon tea.

Cons

1. Leadership often lacks technical or data experience. 2. Data roles are highly fragmented across multiple specialized positions, leading to frequent miscommunication, shifting responsibilities, and less actual value delivered. 29 3. Significant loss of experienced team members due to staff turnover and layoffs, leaving remaining personnel struggling with growing knowledge gaps. 4. Inefficient technology choices and workflows lead to extended task durations, increased risk of errors and wastes of resources, primarily because management fails to address the core operational challenges. 5. Limited long-term salary growth after joining. 6. Limited dining options close to the office.

Cons

If you're considering a role within the Data Analytics team at Lalamove, my advice would be to seriously reconsider. Senior management lacks a technical background and has no understanding of the core aspects of data analytics, including coding and technical processes. This lack of technical expertise leads to poor decision-making and a general mismanagement of the team. Moreover, management style is abrasive and unprofessional—People have tendency to publicly humiliate employees without cause, fostering a toxic work environment. His temper and inconsistency in leadership create a high-stress atmosphere that discourages collaboration and personal growth. Overall, the combination of poor technical understanding and toxic leadership makes this team an unhealthy place to work. I would strongly advise against accepting an offer to join this department.
