Pros
I did really like the environment. There is a lot of hours and endless work.
Cons
Today was the 1st day of my 3rd week with the company. Last week we worked 10 plus hours each day, getting off at 12am or later. We had to come In mandatory Sunday, yesterday. I have done very well picking orders. I picked up the department quickly. Yesterday, in the last hour of our 60 hr week, my lead handed me my 1st unloading assignment. I told him I'd never unloaded w the clamp yet. Also, Pantos never provided real time training for unloading. During unloading, I found several boxes to be damaged. Some by my clamp, many were coming out of the trailer with damage. I reported this to my Lead. After completion I had to take 11 damaged boxes to rebox and record them. When I came in to work today, I was told that 2 of the damaged boxes which I reported also had damaged units inside. I was sent home for the next 3 days w out pay and possibly fired. This is not ok. I have been a ferociously hard worker and I can be taught quickly any skill. I was never properly or formally trained on unloading skills and I am BRAND NEW. I also followed protocol and reported damages caused and found. And as such, I am harshly penalized? My lead should have been punished for giving someone untrained or qualified a job they were too new to do at all let alone by themselves.
