Pros
Kroll has always attracted some of the brightest and most talented professionals in the industry. The calibre of people — their expertise, dedication, and collaborative spirit — has been a key reason for the company’s success. The work itself is engaging and intellectually stimulating, with opportunities to work on high-profile matters that make a real impact. For those early in their careers, it has historically been a great learning environment with strong mentorship from experienced colleagues. The brand name still carries weight in the market, and there’s pride in being associated with such a well-established firm. I’m absolutely gutted that all of this is now coming to an end.
Cons
All the talented people who made Kroll what it was are leaving due to poor compensation, lack of transparency, and mismanagement. Once a great company, Kroll has somehow lost its shine among competitors. Employees are being laid off without warning, and morale across the business has taken a serious hit. It’s genuinely heartbreaking to see such an amazing company decline so badly. My advice: replace the C-suite with competent leadership. Kroll was built by incredible people — and now, those very people are either leaving or being let go.
