Pros

You learn a lot. Every day is really different.

Cons

They got rid of our help in the mornings so providers do all opening tasks alone for the first hour. Also in six month's I've worked 1/3rd of the time without a pct due to very high turnover rate with them. Makes it very challenging in a busy clinic. Very long days-they expect you to stay up to an HOUR after closing if there are patients which has you doing more like a 13 or long hour shift. If you are on call-expect to be activated. The on call process is horrendous. If there is a hole in another clinic instead of finding coverage or preparing to close the clinic, they abuse the on call person and make them drive up to two hours distance to go work on that clinic. Other jobs I have done-would not do that to providers. It's very unfair and ifyou don't do it, counts as an "occurrence". Also the customer 1st promise doesn't fit with a healthcare facility. Maybe it does when selling grapefruits at the check out. But it doesn't mesh well with antibiotic seekers who have a cold for 12 hours. You need to not expect us to make the customer happy when-they are NOT always right.
