Pros

Some colleagues are great; ability to work from home

Cons

"meritocracy" is a myth--chronyism is rampant and this is how people get work; people who are not trained in the work (or lack credentials) tell you how to do your job and how long it should take often resulting in a lot of extra hours that you are discouraged from billing because it may exceed project budget and cut into margins; tons of pressure to bill resulting in extraordinary stress and poor work-life balance; if you are in an "execution" role you are looked down while fee earners--i.e., those in sales--are treated like royalty; no career advancement--you are typecast and locked into a role; no raises; lack of transparency around how bonuses are distributed; lack of transparency around promotions (if you play politics well, you have a much better chance of getting promoted); did I mention no raises??; firm wants to dictate what you put in your LinkedIn profile and "sell" for them via social media; lack of transparency around layoffs/reductions in force (even during Covid)--failed to communicate criteria for decisions and failed to unify the employees who remained through regular updates

Pros

I am a consultant through a firm acquired by Korn Ferry and have had a great experience with both the firm (Salo) and with Korn Ferry as a parent company. Great to have benefits and PTO as a consultant and great training and resources available - good communication as well!

Cons

Transitional period during acquisition had a few bumps but nothing major and all ironed out as more time has gone on.

Pros

The client diversity across industries and regions is top notch. Great brand recognition. The marketing investments in Korn Ferry Tour and LA28 paid off. Smart people. Remote work is a plus as 75% people work remotely. No push for facetime in offices. Work from anywhere! Everyone knows of Korn Ferry!

Cons

A culture of long hours and interrupted vacations. Clear demarcation between haves(fee earners) and have nots (execution). High expectations with outdated systems, manual processes, inefficient. Low pay as there are no merits due to market/company performance. Hard to get food at the holiday party so stop at Five Guys prior.
