Pros

Flexible schedule, child care discount, mileage reimbursement, multi site management experience, and opportunities to network within the company.

Cons

The position of Area Manager has a work load unmanageable by one person for any market, overseeing 20 sites in a 100+ mile range. The geographical area is too large and the number of sites is too great for one person to manage. Staffing for direct reports is almost impossible with part time schedules and split shifts. Policies and procedures are inconsistently applied across the board. Account management systems make the job next to impossible and create serious safety concerns within the child care sites.

The kids are super sweet and fun

Cons

Management lies about what they are prepared to offer you. They hire you on, offering a promotion as soon as you meet certain metrics, then once you've met them, they refuse to promote. I was hired to be a director, was told to just complete my state mandated hours on site as a teacher, then I would be promoted. I finished my house rain two months and six months later had not received any promotion. They will cut employees hours to train new employees.
