Pros
Great people, opportunities to do interesting things and get great exposure early on in your career, fantastic people. Met some friends for life. In better times good social culture and a fun office environment.
Cons
A year of pay and promotion freezes has left people frustrated. Mixed messages around progression (one minute you’re ready and the next you’re not) and a tendency for the company to shoe horn you into a role that suits their interests rather than yours. Despite promotion opportunities supposedly being ‘lifted’ it appears more difficult than ever. Promotions definitely don’t go to the most deserving and the company seem happy to let good people go with minimal fight meaning gaps everywhere and reliance on inexperienced staff. Commercial success based on luck is over-valued. The kudos given to people who’ve sold something from an opportunity falling into their laps is laughable.
