Pros

Great on Resume! (But then again, who doesn't say that). Lots of Big Office perks. (save on cell phone plans, gym membership discounts, etc). Lots of training (if your in to that sort of thing). They pay for a lot of things (CPA Classes, school, etc). The associates and seniors were pretty laid back and made working fun (as much as it can be I suppose) The pay for an intern was pretty good. Plus you get overtime as an intern. (not as a full-time). Otherwise they'd be paying full-timers for 60+ hours a week all the time.

Cons

Hours are ridiculously long! I mean, I was only an intern so they alway let me go early, but the rest of the full-time folks always stayed until atleast 9ish. Other than that, you have to come in with the mind set that it's going to be long hours, some stressed out folks (during busy season, which for some folks is all the time), and crazy deadlines. Managers in particular have it bad, becuase they're right in the middle of the corporate structure. So they're the most stressed out. Stay away from them during stressfull periods.

Pros

It might sound cliche but the Pro for me is the people that I work with. I'm lucky enough to be staffed in a team with great leadership. Managers are actually willing to coach junior members and be a real mentor. I very much appreciate their efforts.

Cons

Long hours and office politics. This is pretty basic and obvious for any public accounting firms. Every time a quarter end, year end, or a special filing is going out, you can expect 10-14 hour days. It might be fine in your early career but it gets really tiring after a few years.
