Pros

KPMG is a great place to start a carrer. They have great trainings through out the year and surround their employees with knowledgable professionals at each level. Although the pay may be lower than industry they have a lot of opprotunity for growth both persnally and professionally. The strive to have a good work life balance which is crucial although may not always be possible. They do however allow flex scheduling and the ability to telecommute. Overall there I would recommend any professional coming out of college to explore an opprotunity at KPMG.

Cons

45-50+ hours during busy season but slows down during the winter

Pros

You get to work with an awesome, highly resilient group of local peers in the advisory practice. The KPMG brand still holds value, but the internal team dynamics have become incredibly fractured.

Cons

We have outsourced 80%+ of our Risk Advisory work, leaving onshore seniors with massive gaps in their experience. As a manager, I am stuck doing senior-level work because I typically have only one or zero local seniors or associates on my teams. The best leaders have already resigned because this model prevents actual management and mentoring. Also, it might take you 30+ years to become partner in Risk Advisory, if at all.
