Pros
Reasonably stable, blue-chip company. The company has a strong heritage and some great, iconic products. Employees are well compensated in relation to their peers at other companies (I think). Opportunities for jumping jobs is high. In some sectors of the organization it is easy to get assignments in foreign countries, which can be really interesting and fulfilling.
Cons
High bureaucracy. Sometime unrealistic sales expectations. Some of the recent ideas of the company's senior management team have not been well thought out in recent years and so expectations have not been achieved. The result has been some fairly dramatic job cuts. Some of these cuts could have been avoided with sharper attention paid to products in development (and a better assessment of their true value and likelihood for commercial success).
