Pros

Nice offices, nice people, and nowhere is as nice to live and work as Florida's Emerald Coast. Fort Walton Beach may not have many of the amenities a big city offers, but it more than makes up for it in natural beauty and outdoor recreation. Choctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico are ten minutes from Tybrin's headquarters. Golfers have an abundance of courses to choose from. The cost of living is not cheap compared to other areas in the South, but it is cheaper than most growing metro locations. Commuting is trivial compared to Atlanta, D.C. or the Tampa/Orlando areas. And the local schools are rated amongst the highest in Florida. And while opportunities for advancement within the company may be rare, Tybrin is loyal to employees who find their contracts canceled and will bend over backwards to place them on another team within the company.

Cons

Tybrin's core competency is bidding on government contracts and then finding people to do the work. There are few opportunities to develop and promote new technologies. The "Business Development" department appears to only exist to bid on government RFPs. As the company grows so does the inevitable inertia against progress and change. Employee training outside of the usual annual HR requirements is rare. This is a cheap company when it comes to employee development. The only way to get ahead is to change teams or wait twenty years for someone to retire. Pay raises are minimal and there is no company bonus.
