Pros
*Overall, Marriott is a wonderful company to work for. The benefits that Marriott employees receive are world class. Being an employee at JW you get to access all of the wonderful benefits Marriott has to offer. *Since it was a brand new, less than a year old property everything still had that extra layer of attention to detail that depletes over time. *Location of this specific hotel had benefits of being in the heart of downtown Tampa- literally being sandwiched between the convention center and the arena where The Lightning play.
Cons
*Piggybacking off the last pro, because of the newness of this luxury-level corporate hotel, it was severely, severely micromanaged. *Fearful level micromanaged - I’ve been a bartender for years always holding myself to a certain level of integrity, never getting in trouble at a job prior, ect. - and it was at the point where I was coming in everyday fearful of accidentally doing something wrong. They handed out write-ups like candy, and I’ve seen a handful of employees get fired for minor things with no prior talking-to or offenses.
