Don’t Trust the Good Reviews - Support Engineer JFrog Employee Review

- Horrid, horrid work/life balance. Be prepared to work late. Be prepared to skip lunch. Be prepared to work weekends. When you’re not working, expect to have zero energy for real life things because of how demanding the job is. I really wish I was exaggerating, and I hope it’s gotten better since I left. - If you leave at 4:59 instead of 5, you’ll get a talking to. - Very little flexibility with WFH, despite the “hybrid” model. 3 days in office is non-negotiable. Being in-office makes taking calls (which is a huge part of the role) significantly harder due to the open floor plan. There are meeting rooms you can book, but often you’re expected to join calls with few minutes notice. - Biggest micromanagement culture I’ve ever experienced. I’ve worked for 3 other tech companies. All of them had a significantly better culture. - Some clients are horrible to work with, but that’s to be expected with any support role. - Worst knowledge siloing I’ve ever seen. No development teams in the US, and information that is probably common knowledge for developers is incredibly hard to find without an escalation. - Very little internal mobility, especially horizontally. - Just want to emphasize again how stressful this job is. I spent months throwing up daily from stress. My life has significantly improved in every aspect since quitting. - CEO (and I’m sure others, but he’s the most vocal) holds some… controversial political opinions, and if you speak out against them, you’ll be punished. If you want to be successful at JFrog, be careful who you add on social media and be mindful of how you engage with certain topics outside of work. There are snitches.
