Pros
Beautiful campus, non-profit cafe, good employee discount on all kinds of meat, high bonuses, no micromanaging in my dept, and salary is on target. Internal reviews involve peer contribution (called a 360) which makes a rogue manager easily identifiable. Theoretically, that sounds awesome....but...
Cons
In the short time I've worked there, over half of the tax department has turned over. There is NO work/life balance, especially with that kind of turnover. Even though management knows the cause of the turnover, they do nothing to fix it. Benefits are horrible. The vacation you're given must be taken during the year because no rollover is allowed. Health insurance is now only an HSA with a $1600 deductible per person. And that 360 evaluation idea? It keeps people scared to speak up. What if they are the peer to evaluate you on the 360? Will they give you a low score because of speaking up? Fear is what the tax department runs on. It's exhausting. Oh, and forget about using the laptops handed out to work offsite. They will suggest you are a liar. All in all, a fear-based environment in which management has zero guts to clean house and put those values in practice.
