Pros

Flexible working from home options

Cons

This type of company culture and management died in the early 90’s, but Intertek is keeping it alive - old boys club, full of unqualified and insecure leaders - who work really hard at building an army of yes man and women around them, while undermining and blaming anyone that is identified as a threat and/or intelligent. Creative accounting is used heavily by leadership to appease executives - especially in the Asia Pacific region (take note shareholders). Plus, leaders regularly threaten and abuse team members, and HR ignores this conduct despite an array of evidence and complaints. The CMO is a marketing relic that is the most insecure of all the leaders. A textbook example of a traditional marketer who dismissed any form of digital marketing as a passing fad up until 3 yrs ago, and now finds a way to drop ‘digital’ into every conversation in an effort to sound relevant and to hide their incompetence. The CMO is also a big advocate for the threatening and abusive culture at Intertek (which has resulted in multiple senior managers that report to the CMO to go on long term ‘sick leave’)

Pros

Good group of people in local office.

Cons

Stuck in the past. Unwilling to consider updating methods or procedures. "We've done it this way for 30 years and it has worked." Sales relies upon project engineers to do most of their work for them. When volume of work is slow that becomes the engineers responsibility to go find new clients. Can't reliably pay the most basic of utility bills on time. I've seen the power cut off 2x and the gas this past winter.
