Pros
It's hard to come up with many pros. The junior staff were generally enjoyable people when I was there.
Cons
This a very top heavy organization. Managers were terrible at management. There was a lot of micromanaging and it often felt as if you had to constantly prove you were worthy of the tasks they hired you to do no matter how often you did them and did them well. Additionally, people were expected to work as if they were being paid 80 - 100K when in reality wages were extremely low for comparable positions. Last, and perhaps most importantly, comments were made by my supervisor that I thought were rude, inappropriate, offensive. It bordered on bullying and happened on a regular basis. Sadly, this behavior permeated throughout the organization. If you want to write, get your foot into international development work, or just be treated like a human being, look elsewhere.
