Pros
- IG has made obvious efforts to retain me through project transitions with the client. (I attribute this, largely, to my senior recruiter.) - IG is active in providing cost effective benefits solutions to its employees.
Cons
- The only disadvantage I can think of (speaking only for myself, as I am unaware of others' experience) is that the terms of my engagement are relatively short - between 3 and 6 months. My personal preference would be for a minimum 6 month engagement so I don't have to look for work so often. Having said that, this is probably a function of the end client's needs and budgetary constraints. I'm sure this is a common scenario in IT consulting, regardless of the consultant shop and not necessarily specific to Insight Global.
