Pros
-Great 401(k) and decent benefits -Salary is competitive but with constant emphasis on cutting costs, very difficult to advance here if you're not destined for management. -A lot of change provides engineers with tons of opportunities to climb the ladder. -Challenging work and a good mixture of different learning opportunities
Cons
-The industry in which it operates is highly commoditized and margins are paper thin so employees are constantly asked to do more with less and this impacts salaries and bonuses as one could predict. -Poor culture, this is a management driven business with scarce resources so employees are often doing the work of multiple people -Horrible working conditions for individuals working in operations -If you're not in 'the boys club', good luck excelling your career. If you're a good golfer you will have a spot in management -Meetings on top of meetings to communicate up the chain wasted 30-40% of my time daily. -Culture is about as old fashioned as it can get.
