Pros

- At least they're trying to modernize from their old technologies and certain engineers and management are definitely trying to drive for improved flows. - They try to promote pretty quickly if you know what you're doing so you can have a larger impact.

Cons

There's a serious culture of ignorance, where product engineers refuse to learn anything about the platform provided to them, refuse to know anything about their own deployments, and then are surprised when things don't magically work. As a result, security is ignored to "get things working" and product engineers actively hacking against what platform teams provide them. This and a complete willingness to silo knowledge has led to a lack of any automation, horrible architectures, outages, security breaches, and unscalable practices.
